{"id":23823,"date":"2023-10-18T00:01:59","date_gmt":"2023-10-18T07:01:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/exhaustnotes.us\/blog\/?p=23823"},"modified":"2023-10-18T04:42:17","modified_gmt":"2023-10-18T11:42:17","slug":"bangkok-part-2-the-wat-pho-temple","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/exhaustnotes.us\/blog\/index.php\/2023\/10\/18\/bangkok-part-2-the-wat-pho-temple\/","title":{"rendered":"Bangkok Part 2:  The Wat Pho Temple"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6>By Joe Berk<\/h6>\n<p>On our next day in Bangkok, Sue and I visited the Wat Pho Buddhist Temple.\u00a0 There are numerous Buddhist temples in this fine city, and on this (my third trip to Bangkok), the nod went to Wat Pho.\u00a0 The colors and the views were stunning, and my 8mm inexpensive Rokinon wide angle manual everything lens earned its pay yet again.\u00a0 I think it would be hard to find a Buddhist temple in Bangkok that was not impressive.<\/p>\n<p>Wat Pho is one of Bangkok&#8217;s oldest temples, and it is one of six temples considered to be of the highest grade Buddhist temples in Bangkok.\u00a0 It is a royal temple.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_23840\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-23840\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-23840 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/exhaustnotes.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/171007_5041-600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/exhaustnotes.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/171007_5041-600.jpg 600w, https:\/\/exhaustnotes.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/171007_5041-600-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-23840\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Wat Pho has the famous reclining Buddha, which is 15 meters high and 46 meters long.
