articles, I was surprised to see I&#8217;ve been pitching and publishing stories for the magazine for 20 years.\u00a0 It all started when a nice young fellow named Landon Hall, <em>MC<\/em>&#8216;s Associate Editor at the time, saw a few photos I had posted online and asked if I&#8217;d be interested in doing a piece for the magazine.\u00a0 Hell, yeah, I would (and I did).\u00a0 I wrote <a href=\"https:\/\/exhaustnotes.us\/BerksWorks.html\">a lot of stories<\/a> on a lot of fun destinations.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not bragging here, folks.\u00a0 I&#8217;m just getting old.<\/p>\n<p>A new editorial staff recently came on board at <em>Motorcycle Classics<\/em>, and my new editor asked if I could focus more on motorcycle museums.\u00a0 As a freelancer, I learned a long time ago that you don&#8217;t argue with people who buy ink by the barrel, so I set about finding moto museums.\u00a0 This led me to discover Jameson&#8217;s Classic Motorcycle Museum in Pacific Grove, California.\u00a0 I&#8217;d never heard of the Jameson before.\u00a0 Come to think of it, I&#8217;d never heard of Pacific Grove, either.\u00a0 \u00a0Both turned out to be pure slices of heaven, as did the ride there and our return home.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_29273\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-29273\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-29273 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/exhaustnotes.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/20250309_7106-600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"899\" srcset=\"https:\/\/exhaustnotes.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/20250309_7106-600.jpg 600w, https:\/\/exhaustnotes.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/20250309_7106-600-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-29273\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Neil Jameson, the man who created Jameson&#8217;s Classic Motorcycle Museum.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The story behind the Jameson is a fascinating one, and I heard it firsthand from Staci Jameson Hayes.\u00a0 Neil Jameson was the man who created the Museum (Staci is his daughter).\u00a0 Neil is no longer with us, but while he graced our world, he was one hell of a man.\u00a0 He grew up in Hollister, California, and I found myself wondering if his interest in motorcycles came about as a result of that town&#8217;s moto history.\u00a0 Jameson started as a goat farmer, became a firefighter, and along the way, he became a world class\u00a0 businessman, investor, and wheeler dealer (Staci told me he was a horse trader extraordinaire).\u00a0 Neil&#8217;s time with us ended in 2021, and during his 82 years on this planet, he was a motorcycle enthusiast, an adventure rider, and a motorcycle collector.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_29274\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-29274\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-29274 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/exhaustnotes.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/20250309_7062-600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/exhaustnotes.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/20250309_7062-600.jpg 600w, https:\/\/exhaustnotes.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/20250309_7062-600-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-29274\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jameson&#8217;s Classic Motorcycle Museum is at 305 Forest Avenue in Pacific Grove, California, directly across the street from the police station and city hall.\u00a0 Neil Jameson bought the building to showcase his collection in 2010; it formerly housed the local newspaper.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Jameson&#8217;s Classic Motorcycle Museum collection is eclectic.\u00a0 Many of the bikes were owned and ridden by Neil (including the &#8217;72 R75 BMW that he rode to the Arctic Circle and back).\u00a0 Some have been restored to original condition;
