{"id":33509,"date":"2026-06-05T14:21:54","date_gmt":"2026-06-05T21:21:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/exhaustnotes.us\/blog\/?p=33509"},"modified":"2026-06-05T14:26:41","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T21:26:41","slug":"slowing-down-temporarily","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/exhaustnotes.us\/blog\/index.php\/2026\/06\/05\/slowing-down-temporarily\/","title":{"rendered":"Slowing Down, Temporarily"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6>By Joe Berk<\/h6>\n<p>Folks, I&#8217;ve got to drop the ExNotes blog a gear or two for a while.\u00a0 We&#8217;ve been busy for a good 8 years, and I need to roll off the throttle for a bit to get through a rough spot.<\/p>\n<p>During the preceding 8 years, we published 1,786 blogs.\u00a0 These gathered 10,058 comments.\u00a0 Our blogs include 12,913 images (every one of which was Photoshop optimized prior to inclusion in the blog).<\/p>\n<p>During that entire time, sciatica, neuropathy, and a bum leg have been kicking my butt.\u00a0 Things have gotten a lot worse in the last two or three years, the feel-good folks in white coats tell me I need back surgery, and that&#8217;s scheduled for late June.\u00a0 I&#8217;m getting a laminectomy and a foraminectomy on my L4 and L5 vertebrae (which basically means I&#8217;m getting bored and stroked), and incredibly, it&#8217;s going to be done on an outpatient basis (which is fine by me).<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll keep on publishing during my downtime, but it will be at a reduced frequency until I&#8217;m back to 100%.\u00a0 It won&#8217;t be too long.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, please peruse our past blogs.
