Good buddy Mike is a retired police director who was right in the middle of this kind of stuff, and he sent the link for the latest MSP report to me. \u00a0 There’s no advertising and it’s all presented clearly and in a way that’s easy to understand.\u00a0 It’s fascinating reading and the results are presented in a no-nonsense engineering format.\u00a0 Check out this table of results for the 0-100 mph acceleration tests:<\/p>\n

The Michigan State Police report has similar displays for 0-60, 0-80, top speed, braking distances, fuel economy, lap times, and more.\u00a0 I couldn’t put the report down.\u00a0 In their best days (days that are way back in the rear view mirror), none of the motorcycle magazines did this kind of outstanding work. \u00a0 And there’s more…they have all of the above and more for police cars, too.\u00a0 Check out the stats on the Ford EcoBoost vehicles.<\/p>\n
