It had to happen, I guess.\u00a0 We recently blogged about a Smith and Wesson 1917 .45 ACP revolver<\/a> that sold for what, to me, was the incredibly high price of $2,525.\u00a0 A couple of days ago, I saw another one that grabbed my attention.\u00a0 It’s a Gunbroker.com auction for an N-frame Smith, but not just any N-frame:\u00a0 This one is the original that Indiana Jones used in his first movie (Raiders of the Lost Ark<\/em>).\u00a0 I know, strictly speaking, it’s not a 1917.\u00a0 But it’s built on the N-frame and chambered for a close-relative, the British .455 Webley.\u00a0\u00a0This revolver played a key role in several Raiders<\/em> scenes, including the Cairo swordsman and many others.<\/p>\n
