A Joe Gresh burnout…

Joe Gresh recently returned from Daytona and while he was there he rode an Indian FTR 1200 Rally.    Joe created one of his outstanding videos and we’re sharing it here on the ExNotes blog.

Joe does a pretty mean burnout, as I learned one day in Port Orford, Oregon. That’s a story for another time, and no, I didn’t capture it on video. But it’s a hell of a story.  Maybe one for another time.

  1. Liked the assessment of the bike. Also Joe’s way of sharing what he feel how important some features are. Helps that I’m in the same age group.

  2. That FTR is a good looking bike but man it is a high seater.
I didn’t even bother to try and get on one at the dealer.

    1. It’s high but you get used to it. Much like a dirt bike. 500 pounds is lightweight in today’s world. Only a few pounds heavier than KLR650…

  3. Great report! Totally agree with adding a rock shield and I’d be surprised if there isn’t one in their accessories offers. Sort of disappoints that such a thing isn’t already on it but still a great looking bike. Was (slightly) surprised to hear the engine is a complete new design. At any rate, keep ’em coming.

    1. Steve,

I’m not totally convinced it’s a completely new design. It looks different on the outside and none of the cycle parts are Scout.

Maybe the crank and shaft centers are Scout?
